Note from Dr. Dobo I am always surprised at clients that come in to see me and say they have been up all night worried about coming in. New clients say they are concerned that I’ll think they’re foolish for getting in such a situation or they feel like they should just get over the problem they are struggling with. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am here to help those that are feeling emotional distress. Being aware of this client anxiety has made me acutely aware of their struggle to just walk into my office or to call for an appointment. I try my best to put them at ease and get them to feel comfortable talking with me before we ever meet. For this reason you will not hear a secretary as gatekeeper for me. When you call you will get me or my voice mail. If you leave a message I will call you back not a secretary to schedule an appointment.
