Dr. Andrew J. Dobo, Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Andrew Dobo is a licensed psychologist practicing clinical psychology. He has experience working with most populations, including young adults at university counseling centers, Vietnam Veterans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, adults who have been abused as children, and geriatric patients at the Memory Disorder Clinical in Melbourne, Florida. He has also worked with couples in marital therapy, which was the focus of his doctoral research. Dr. Dobo enjoys teaching and has had the opportunity to supervise doctoral students from Florida Tech. As well as teaching Couples Counseling Class to Florida Tech's doctoral students, functioning as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Tech
Dr. Dobo is skilled in treating most psychological disorders, primarily anxiety/phobias, depression, grief and loss, anger problems, trauma and marital (relationship) therapy. Dr. Dobo uses research based couples therapy methods because he has found that these methods are most effective. Primarily Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). www.EFT.ca He sometimes uses hypnosis to help people strengthen their self-esteem, achieve their goals and reduce emotional distress and many other uses. Finally, Dr. Dobo does not promote or discuss his personal religious beliefs with his clients; however, if his clients have strong religious beliefs, he is very comfortable utilizing the clients religious beliefs as a source of strength as a component of the psychological treatment.
Dr. Dobo is a member of the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is highly trained in the use of EMDR one of only a few EMDRIA certified EMDR therapists in the tri-county area of Indian River, Brevard, and St. Lucie Counties. He is also an EMDRIA Approved Consultant in EMDR which means he can supervise therapists who are seeking the certification credential. He is a member of EMDRIA which is the EMDR international organization and credentialling body that provides the curriculum and supervision for EMDR certification and consultation www.EMDRIA.org. He is also a memeber of International Centre for Excellence in Emotional Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). Dr. Dobo is also a member of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Dobo was born on May 24, 1955 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. His undergraduate work was done at Roosevelt University in Chicago. In 1998, he earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology (addiction specialty) from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. He also earned a Master of Science Degree and his doctorate from Florida Tech. Dr. Dobo completed an American Psychological Association (APA) approved internship at Florida State University's Student Counseling Center. After internship he completed his Post Doctoral Residency at Indian River Memorial Hospital's Center for Emotional and Behavioral Health (CEBH). He finished his residency and stayed on at CEBH as a staff psychologist for a time. Dr. Dobo joined the Collaborative Counseling Center in April 2004.
Dr. Dobo enjoys speaking to groups on a number of subjects. He is passionate about positive and powerful parenting (see his parenting class l), couples work, and EMDR treatment. His talks about couples issues address types of love, fair fighting in a relationship, communication, enhancing affection and conflict resolution. He also speaks to students on their way to college about how they can enjoy college life socially but also be successful academically.

Dr. Richard M. Greene
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Greene is a licensed psychologist. He holds membership in the American Psychological Association and is credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He is on the medical staff at Indian River Memorial Hospital and consults with the Treasure Coast Bariatric Program. He is an adjunct professor in the School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology.
Dr. Greene was born on May 16, 1956. He grew up in Canada, living in Quebec and Ontario. His undergraduate degree, with an emphasis in psychology, was obtained in Michigan. In 1979, a graduate degree in educational and developmental psychology was achieved in Michigan. Years later, after moving to Florida, he earned a Master of Science degree and a doctorate degree in clinical psychology at the Florida Institute of Technology. He then successfully completed an American Psychological Association-approved internship in Des Moines, Iowa. This was immediately followed by a post-doctoral residency at the Center for Emotional and Behavioral Health at Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida. He subsequently assumed responsibility for the outpatient department and the provision of psychological services at that center. After more than four years, Dr. Greene decided to pursue his vision of providing exceptional clinical services in a smaller, more personable setting.
Dr. Greene has been providing mental health services since 1979. His extensive experiential background includes preschools, public and private school systems, community mental health organizations, residential facilities, a maximum secure juvenile detention center, professional organizations, governmental departments, teaching, and private practice. He is qualified to address most kinds of mental health care issues including: anger management, anxiety, child/adolescent/adult adjustment and learning, depression, family and couples conflicts/dysfunction, grief and loss, mood and personality disorders, self-esteem, self-harm, sleep disturbances, social discomfort, and stress management. He provides counseling, psychological evaluations, seminars, presentations, and consultations. He enjoys giving talks on mental health topics and the powerful influence of social relationships.
